I’m so excited to share with you Knafeh-Buttery Shredded Pastry with Orange Blossom Creamy Filling. This creamy filling with a buttery sweet pastry drizzled with orange blossom syrup is to die for. It really is just a delicious homemade dessert! Traditionally they are not baked in muffin trays, rather in a big Pyrex dish (Arab ladies just love those dishes) but I think they look awesome individually served.

Salted Orange Semolina Cakes

Let’s rewrite the rules and reinvent this classic dessert. Known in the Middle East as Namoura, here’s my modern take on it. Salted Orange Semolina cakes are my way of presenting the famous namoura sweet in the Middle East. It is usually served as a slice and it is the perfect bite with a sticky texture and sweet nutty flavour.

Homemade Tahini Sausage Rolls

My guests, family and friends love this recipe. It’s a favourite and always a winner at our gatherings. A change from the everyday traditional sausage roll with my Middle Eastern twist on it. The tahini and spices make these sausage rolls unique in flavour yet subtle.
Think crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside.

banana bread with mixed berries

Homemade Banana Bread

The perfect way to use up over ripe banana! I love making banana bread and smell it leaves in my kitchen for hours after.
Not only is it so quick to make, freezes well and you will only need 6 ingredients. Slice it up, Cling wrap it and freeze it.
Makes a great school snack. I use brown sugar instead of white sugar as it pairs wonderfully with banana and leaves the cake more moist.
So delicious and so yum!

Middle Eastern za’atar cheese savoury muffins

Delicious muffins with the yummy mixture of za’atar and cheese. Za’atar is a delicious Middle-Eastern spice mix. These are great for lunchboxes,  breakfast on the go or afternoon snacks.  There can be many variations to this recipe. Replace ingredients such as cheeses, chia seeds and herbs as you wish.  You can easily freeze these too.  These muffins can be made in just 15 minutes! The recipe makes approximately 12 larger muffins however if using cupcake size, you will get between 20-24.

No Bake Nutella Cheesecake

The ultimate dessert for Nutella lovers and the perfect dessert for those who are beginners in the kitchen. Let’s not mention how much kids would love to make this and lick that spoon of Nutella afterwards. I must admit it’s rich and creamy, but as my friend Paul described it silky
with a mousse-like texture’. So if you are feeling like something sweet, this is it! No bake desserts are the best. They can be made ahead of time. In fact, in most recipes they must be made ahead of time, which is perfect for planning and preparing.
