About this recipe

I love making these Banana Biscuit snacks when I need a quick and easy treat. They are simple to make with just a few basic ingredients, like bananas and crushed biscuits. The best part is that they only take a few minutes to prepare. A light mist of rose water helps the coconut or cocoa coating stick beautifully, adding a delicate flavour. If you’re looking for a fast dessert with a twist, these bites are perfect.

These Banana Biscuit snacks are a great option when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Plus, they remind me of my other quick snack ideas like Turkish Delight Sandwiches and Coconut Stuffed Date recipe. Whether you coat them in coconut or cocoa, these little bites are delicious, quick, and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Notes from Rouba

  • Use ripe bananas for a naturally sweeter flavour.
  • If the mixture is too dry, add a little milk to bind it.
  • Roll the balls immediately after spraying with rosewater for the best coating results.

Equipment Note:

I used the Dorsch mini processor for this recipe, one of my favourite kitchen appliances. Its glass bowl is perfect for both sweet and savoury dishes, and it doesn’t retain any smell, even after processing garlic. Method

Step 1. Prepare the Biscuits and Bananas

Place the biscuits in a food processor and blend until they are finely crushed. If you don’t have a food processor, place the biscuits in a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin until fine.

Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth. You can use a fork or a potato masher for this.

Step 2. Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed biscuits and mashed bananas. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and form a sticky dough-like consistency. If the mixture feels too dry, you can add a bit of milk to bind it further.

Take a small amount of the mixture (30 grams) and roll it into a ball using your hands.

Step 3. Mist and Coat the Balls

Lightly mist each ball with rose water. A fine spray works best to keep the flavour subtle without making the mixture too wet. Roll them in either cocoa powder or desiccated coconut until evenly coated.
