A super easy chocolate orange cake to make that’s moist and requires only 1 bowl. Just combine all ingredients, mix, and bake. You can’t help but love the moist, lovely orange and chocolate taste of this cake. I love making this recipe!
Step 1.
Heat oven to 170°. Grease a 23cm round cake tin generously with butter.
Add all the dry ingredients including the grated chocolate into a large bowl and combine.
In a bowl whisk the eggs slightly, add the golden syrup and softened butter, and combine well for 1-2 minutes. Pour into the dry ingredients.
Step 2.
Add zest and juice of the orange and mix until well combined. Pour into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top.
Step 3.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and your cake tester comes out clean. Rest for 5 minutes and then transfer onto a wire rack to completely cool.
Dust lightly with icing sugar and decorate with fresh orange segments.
