Craving a comforting white bean stew for the winter season? Look no further than this delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring nutritious butter beans served over Middle Eastern vermicelli rice pilaf. Whether you prefer it with or without meat, this stew is a great source of minerals, vitamins, protein, and fiber thanks to the superfood properties of white beans. And with the convenience of canned beans, preparing this white bean stew is a breeze.
Step 1.
In a pot, sauté the chopped onion and garlic over medium heat. Add chicken and allspice and mix until well combined (approximately 1 minute). Add passata sauce and water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 2.
Add washed beans. Season with salt and continue to simmer for approximately 15 minutes or until the sauce slightly thickens. Stir in the coriander.
