My homemade hummus dinner rolls recipe is quick, delicious, and packed with simple healthy ingredients. It’s all about changing it up in the kitchen and putting your hummus to good use.
These dinner rolls make great party food and can be enjoyed by everyone. They are very easy to make—just 3 simple steps and you’re left with a savoury snack.
- 6 dinner rolls
- 3 lettuce leaves halved
- ½ avocado sliced
- 12 pickled turnips sliced
- ¼ cup parsley finely chopped
- dukkah to garnish
- olive oil to drizzle
Notes from Rouba
- Pickled turnips are the pickle of the Middle East—vinegary, colourful, and completely addictive. These pickles are the perfect complement to any wrap-falafel, roast chicken or kebab. I love snacking on them.

Slice rolls ¾ of the way through across the top lengthways and heat in the oven. Prepare the vegetables, herbs, and accompaniment.
To assemble the dinner rolls, spread about 1-2 tablespoons of hummus on each roll, add the lettuce leaves followed by avocado and parsnip. Top with chopped fresh parsley. Garnish with Dukkah and drizzle with olive oil.
Servings: makes approximately 12 dinner rolls
